Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Memocaps.com website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Memocaps (“Memocaps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By buying, downloading or using Memocaps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Memocaps is

Memocaps is a skill for Claude. Once you add it to your own Claude account, Claude can turn a conversation into a memocap: a page that retraces your decisions, the reasons behind them, the paths you set aside and your open questions, each linked to the message it came from.

Memocaps runs inside your Claude account. You need your own Claude account, under Anthropic’s terms, to use it. Memocaps is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic.

3. Your license

When you buy Memocaps, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it for yourself, for personal or professional work, on the Claude accounts you personally use.

You may not share, resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute Memocaps or its files, in whole or in part, or remove its license notices. Each copy is marked to its buyer, so a copy that circulates can be traced back to the purchase it came from.

Memocaps and its design, text, code and fonts remain the property of Memocaps and its licensors. The fonts included in the skill are licensed for use within Memocaps only; their licenses are included in the download.

4. Price and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and include taxes. Payment is handled by Polar, our merchant of record and reseller, which collects the payment and the applicable sales taxes and issues your invoice. Polar’s own terms apply to the payment.

The founding price of $29 is a one-time payment, available to the first 100 buyers only.

5. Updates

Founding buyers receive every future update of Memocaps free of charge, for as long as we publish Memocaps. If we later offer Memocaps by subscription, founding buyers will never be asked to pay for the version they bought or for its updates.

Updates are downloaded with your license key at pay.memocaps.com/download. We may change, improve or remove features in an update.

6. 14-day money-back guarantee

If Memocaps is not for you, write to [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund the full amount you paid, taxes included, with no questions asked. After a refund, your license and license key are revoked and you must delete your copy.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or withdrawal right you have under the consumer law of your country.

7. Your content

Your conversations and your memocaps are yours. They stay in your Claude account and on your own devices; we never receive them. You are responsible for the conversations you choose to turn into memocaps and for what you do with the result.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to attempt to bypass the license marks or the download checks.

9. AI-generated output

Memocaps are written by Claude from your conversation. They can be incomplete or wrong. Check what matters before you rely on it; a memocap is not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.

10. Ending the license

Your license lasts as long as you comply with these Terms. If you breach them, in particular by sharing or redistributing Memocaps, we may revoke your license and license key without refund.

11. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not control Claude or Anthropic, and Memocaps may stop working as intended if Claude changes how skills work. We will make reasonable efforts to keep Memocaps working through updates.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for Memocaps, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes never take away the founding buyer commitments in sections 5 and 6 for purchases already made.
