1. Overview

Memocaps (“Memocaps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a skill for Claude where founders, consultants, freelancers, agencies, product managers, researchers and authors who think in long AI conversations turn them into memocaps, and keep their decisions, the reasons behind them and their open questions, each linked to its source. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, the Memocaps skill and its download, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version: your conversations and your memocaps never reach us. We only know what is needed to sell you Memocaps and let you download it, plus anonymous visit statistics for this website.

2. Your conversations and memocaps

Memocaps runs inside your own Claude account. The conversations you turn into memocaps, and the memocaps themselves, stay in your Claude account and on your devices. The skill contains no tracker and sends nothing to us or to anyone else. An exported memocap is a self-contained HTML file with its fonts included: opening it loads nothing from the internet.

Claude is provided by Anthropic, under Anthropic’s own terms and privacy policy, which govern how your Claude conversations are processed.

3. The website

memocaps.com uses no cookies and no advertising, and loads no third-party fonts or embeds. Everything on the site is served from our own domains.

To understand how the site is used, we measure visits with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, served through our own domain. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and collects no personal data. It records anonymous information such as the pages viewed, the referring site, your country, your device type, and actions like playing the demo or clicking “Get Memocaps”. Reports are aggregated: we cannot identify you from them.

If you pick light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.

4. Buying Memocaps

Payment is handled by Polar, our merchant of record, with payments processed by Stripe. Polar collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

Polar shares with us your name, email address, country, order details and the status of your license key, so we can deliver Memocaps, answer you and handle refunds.

5. Downloading Memocaps

When you download Memocaps, pay.memocaps.com checks your order or license key with Polar. Each download is marked to its buyer: the file states your name, a short order reference and the date, and carries an invisible identifier linked to your purchase. This protects the product against redistribution. The marks stay inside the file and are never sent anywhere; our download service keeps a record linking each mark to its order (name, email address and order reference), so that a copy found online can be traced back to its purchase.

We also count, anonymously, completed purchases and downloads, without your name, email address or license key.

Our download service keeps short technical logs (time, address requested, success or error) for a few days to fix problems. We do not use them to profile you.

6. Email

If you write to [email protected], we use your message only to answer you. Our email is hosted by Zoho. We do not send newsletters or marketing email unless you ask for them.

7. How we use information

We use the information above only to sell and deliver Memocaps, provide updates, answer support requests, process refunds, prevent abuse and redistribution, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

8. Retention

We keep order records for as long as you hold a license and as required by tax and accounting law. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to help you. Technical logs are deleted automatically after a few days.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information, or to object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

10. Service providers and transfers

We rely on a small number of providers: Cloudflare (website and download hosting), Umami (anonymous website analytics), Polar and Stripe (payments, taxes, license keys) and Zoho (email). They may process information outside your country, under their own safeguards.

11. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how your information is used, we will say so on this page before it applies.
