Set up Memocaps

Before you start

You need a Claude account. Skills work on every Claude plan. In Claude, open Settings → Capabilities and check that Code execution and file creation is on: Memocaps uses it to build your page.

1. Download Memocaps

Right after your purchase, the thank-you page has a Download Memocaps (.zip) button. Keep the zip as it is: don’t unzip it.

Lost it, or on another computer? Go to pay.memocaps.com/download and enter the license key from your receipt email (it starts with MEMOCAPS). It’s also in your Polar customer area, linked from that email.

2. Add it to Claude

In Claude, open Customize, then Skills. Click +, choose Create skill, then Upload a skill, and select the zip. Memocaps appears in your skills list, switched on.

3. Make your first memocap

At the end of any conversation, type /memocap and send. To capture an earlier conversation, open a new chat and type /memocap followed by its name or topic.

Claude reads the conversation and builds your memocap. It takes a few minutes for a long conversation: that time is Claude retracing every turn, decision and source. Your memocap opens as a page in Claude, ready to sort, decide and resume.

Update Memocaps

When a new version comes out, download it again with your license key at pay.memocaps.com/download. In Customize → Skills, remove the old Memocaps, then upload the new zip. Your existing memocaps are not affected.

If something doesn’t work

/memocap does nothing. Check that Memocaps is switched on in Customize → Skills, and that Code execution and file creation is on in Settings → Capabilities.

The upload is refused. Upload the zip itself, not the unzipped folder. Some browsers unzip downloads automatically: download it again with your license key.

Your license key isn’t accepted. Copy it from your receipt email in one piece, including MEMOCAPS-. Still stuck? Write to [email protected].

Memocaps runs inside your Claude account. Your conversations and your memocaps never reach us. Read the privacy policy.
